Packy – Introductory VR/AR Experience
An introduction to Packy, the friendly dinosaur guide, connecting physical book pages with animated VR/AR content for kids.
Glasswing VR designs clean, focused VR and AR experiences for learning, training, and storytelling — from CDL simulations to interactive educational adventures for kids.
Each project starts with a simple question: what should the person inside this experience understand, feel, or practice by the time they take the headset off?

In addition to VR training prototypes, Glasswing VR powers Packy’s Dinosaur Wonderland — an illustrated book where a friendly dinosaur guide introduces kids to different dinosaurs, with optional AR and VR scenes that animate the pages.
Glasswing VR is created by James Franssen — an artist and technologist interested in making immersive experiences that are useful, calm, and memorable.
Experiences are designed to feel simple and focused, even when the underlying technology is complex. The goal is to give people a clear sense of “being there” while keeping the interface out of the way.
Most projects are built with Unity and Blender, using custom 3D assets and careful control of motion, sound, and pacing.
